From the MD – Issue 2, 2026

Dear Customers,

Welcome to the latest edition of the Okuma Australia & New Zealand newsletter.

As we move into Okuma’s new financial year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the momentum we’ve built and the opportunities ahead.

The end of March marked Okuma’s end of financial year, and I’m pleased to share that it was a very successful year for our businesses. This result is a testament to the strength of Australia and New Zealand’s manufacturing sectors, the trust our customers place in us, and the dedication of our people.

Over recent months, several team members travelled to Japan for advanced training at Okuma Corporation and we also welcomed new team members across the business. They are onboarding quickly, contributing strongly, and already embracing what makes the Okuma community so unique. As our industry and machine base continue to grow, we remain committed to expanding our capabilities and therefore, we are always looking for skilled service engineers who want to build a rewarding career with us.

I’ve also taken time to reflect on the rapid changes shaping our sector. In a recent interview, I shared my thoughts on Australia & New Zealand’s manufacturing sectors, our “Monozukuri” philosophy, and Okuma’s role in supporting industry resilience. I encourage you to take a look if you’re interested in where we see the markets heading and how we’re preparing for the future.

As we embed the Monozukuri philosophy across our business, we’re placing even greater emphasis on creating an environment where our employees can grow their skills, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and genuinely feel connected to their work and purpose.  When our people thrive, so do our customers and our industry becomes stronger for all.

Looking ahead, our focus remains clear: delivering exceptional Okuma CNC machines and outstanding service, strengthening our technical capability, and ensuring our customers have the support they need so manufacturing thrives. Whether you’re maintaining your existing equipment or planning your next investment, our team is here to help.

If you’re considering investing in a new CNC machine, we encourage you to connect with any member of our team. We’d be delighted to assist.

Kind regards,

Dean McCarroll
