Okuma Australia Goes Paper-Lite – Join Us in Our Sustainability Journey
At Okuma Australia & New Zealand, sustainability is an essential part of how we innovate, operate, and support our business and our customers. Our environmentally friendly Okuma CNC machines already help manufacturers reduce waste and energy consumption, supported by fully digital machine manuals and brochures that further cut environmental impact.
Our digital e-newsletter keeps our community informed without relying on printed materials. We also provide local ESG (Environment Social Governance) reporting to our parent company, Okuma Corporation, as part of their mandatory global disclosures. Across Okuma Australia, we have successfully implemented a paperless service portal, including emailed customer invoicing.
Where printing is unavoidable, we use recycled paper or cardboard wherever possible and report to APCO on our repurposed cardboard packaging.
We are continuing to expand our sustainability initiatives by updating our motor vehicle policy to incorporate hybrid and electric vehicles.
Our next step is an important step toward a greener future. We are transitioning to a paper-lite process for all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities.
This initiative will benefit our business and the environment by:
- Reducing paper consumption each year
- Minimising physical storage requirements
- Streamlining communication and processing
- Supporting a cleaner, greener future for our industry
To ensure a smooth and effective transition, please send all Accounts Receivable and Payable correspondence to: Email Us
There is always more to be done, but progress begins with simple, deliberate actions. By going paper-lite, we’re taking practical steps toward a more sustainable future.
