A Year of Success in Metal Manufacturing 

Over the past 12 months, we've witnessed remarkable growth, both within our organisation and in the metal manufacturing industry. The demand for our Okuma CNC machines has been exceptional, and we've successfully installed numerous machines to meet this rising demand.

The metal manufacturing industry has seen an array of positive developments, from import replacements for locally producible goods to strong export opportunities. Additionally, defence-related contracts, an increase in overall domestic consumption, the pragmatic utilisation of local labour, major government investment initiatives, and a general desire to improve and invest have all contributed to the sector's strong activities.

In 2023, our Okuma installation footprint expanded, as did our Okuma team. We believe that our team is our most significant asset, and their continuous growth is a testament to our commitment to excellence. We've been particularly focused on our team member training program, WH&S (Workplace Health and Safety) management programs, and opportunities for our team to visit our parent company, Okuma Corporation Japan. These initiatives have been pivotal in our journey to enhance our team members' skills and job satisfaction.

We've actively engaged in the areas of team member growth opportunities, education, role expansion, and overall employment satisfaction. This commitment has not only increased our team's satisfaction but also, and equally important, the satisfaction of our customers and our parent company. At Okuma, we are united in our dedication to the "Monozukuri philosophy" - the art of making things better. The resulting sense of pride is shared by all.

Looking Ahead to 2024
