QUEENSLAND FLOODS - 10 out of 11 flood affected machines now back in service
Monday, 18 April 2011 17:16
In Brisbane, several companies experienced flooded premises resulting in 11 Okuma machines becoming submerged in up to 4.3metres of flood water - completely submerged.
Of the damaged machines, 10 have been brought back to life and are now back in production! A remarkable recovery led by Jim Dicken and the national service crew of what looked, at the outset, like a lost cause. Okuma Australia remains confident that all flood affected machines will be recovered at a very small fraction of the cost of all the replacements. Great job by the team of Jim Dicken, Steve Maxted, Dominic Hulse, Aki Nagao, Yoshi Tokoro, Matt Daniels, Dave Coter, Ray Hallam, Jiri Vojtec, Simon Martin, Mak Bildikar and our Supply Manager, Peter Burnett!
